We have tried other trainers in the area and Sylvie's K9 Solutions is the best. Our dogs enjoy the classes and their behavior has improved tremendously.

I really love the positive approach. We've been to a few different classes over the years and this one is by far the best.

Sylvie teaches owners and their dogs just like I teach children in Montessori school. Always positive and fun. Always hands-on. Thank you for helping my dog be my best friend!

"I wanted to let you know that I put into practice some of the things you talked about last week at the workshop and they worked like an absolute charm. For instance, I went to play with one of our rescue dog at the kennel and, as usual, he was completely ballistic in his run. I used your technique and after just 5 tries, he sat and let me open the door. I was SOOOOOOO happy. Then, I repeated the exercise at each door we came to between his run and the exercise yard. By the last door (there were 4), he didn't jump at all--he just sat and waited for me to open it. When the applicants came to look at him, I told them to take him for a walk. We went up to the exit gate to put his leash on, and low and behold, he sat straight down and let me put the collar on him. I was blown away. This boy has NEVER had his butt on the ground the whole time I have known him and for him to get the hang of the "rules" so quickly nearly made me cry. The applicants were blown away by his politeness. I really wanted to tell you how much I love your approach and your advice. Thank you!"

"Sylvie was great at explaining her methods and what was the correct way and what she thought was better/worse. I have 11 dogs and see a difference just after going to that one clinic. They are not bad, just needed some fine tuning which I believe the clinic helped with. Also, after this clinic, I decided to go for the BARF feeding."

LP, Second Chance Rescue

Wilson was a wild puppy and we contributed to it with 6 different people giving him different commands. He "nipped" all the time...my children's clothes literally had holes in them, mostly in the back where he would jump up and nip them while they were running away from him. He bit my daughter's hand (when she was trying to get something away from him).  Then, he nipped my other daughter on the face sending her to the emergency room for stitches.

Many people asked if we were going to keep him.  After filling out police reports and getting a call from Animal Control, I was thinking that we were not ready to handle a dog like Wilson. I called all over to get advice and find out about classes. Some classes were way too expensive. Others used what seemed like cruel or just plain goofy methods of training. Some would not allow children to take part in the training.

I called you and you spent a lot of time with me on the phone calming some of my fears.  You referred me to a great website (doggone safe) which helped tremendously just knowing how kids are supposed to act around dogs. We signed up for Basic Manners class and after the orientation, we had already learned so much that Wilson was better almost overnight. We needed to learn how to teach him his place in our family.

Each week, he got better and better... or rather, we did, in knowing how to handle him. Now, he hardly ever nips, he waits at the door, he sits to greet people and others are very impressed with him. He is a pleasant, well-mannered dog. We plan to take more classes in the future because it has been fun for the kids and rewarding for our whole family.

So, thank you for your advice, your great class and training methods. We greatly appreciate it!
