The k9 solutions team members are mobile canine consultants and trainers who are dedicated to preventing and solving behavior problems by positive training, canine education, and facilitating a cooperative relationship between human and canine based on clear communications and leadership skills.

We specialize in working with your busy lifestyle by providing programs that are personal, convenient, flexible, and customized to your needs while ensuring that you have a well-mannered, happy canine companion.

For your convenience, we offer group classes, in-home training, and workshops throughout the Triangle area.

Puppy Beginnings
 

Get off to a great start with this unique, semi-private class that combines the expertise and skills of two professional trainers, as well as maximizes socialization for puppies under 4 months until they can attend the Basic Manners class. Benefits include come when called, proper interaction and games with kids, socialization, learning obedience, and prevention of common problems such as jumping, mouthing, chewing, food/toy possession, etc. Crating, housetraining, etc. information available, and any potential behavior problems are addressed. The first session is conducted at the Garner location with Sylvie's K9 Solutions and the second session at the Cary location with Family Paws.

 

Basic Manners Classes  

Benefits are a well-mannered dog at home and in public. Teach your dog self-control (no more jumping on guests, door lunging, etc.!) as well as basic commands such as sit, down, stay, come, walk on a loose leash, off, and how to incorporate them in your busy daily life. Maximize your leadership skills so your dog will take your requests seriously. Correcting and preventing common problems (chewing, digging, jumping, etc.) and information on basic care, crating, etc. covered.

Advanced Manners/Canine Good Citizen Classes
Prerequisite: Basic Manners or equivalent. This class works on solving any current behavior problems and practicing polite manners at home and in public around increasing distractions. It is also geared for earning the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title, a certification program that is designed to reward purebred and mixed dogs who have good manners.

Locations and dates vary per requests received. Let us know if you are looking for an Advanced class.

   

.Search and Rescue/Tracking
We are excited to offer this intensive class every other Sunday afternoons for 6 months (12 sessions). This course is led by Donnie Hult of Canine Training, a police officer with over 24 years of experience in dog training, search and rescue, tracking, explosives, etc. Each class will be run about 2-3 hours, a couple of Sundays will be all day, times may vary depending on weather conditions so flexibility on Sundays is a must. Locations will vary in the Raleigh, Durham, and Cary areas.


Introduction to Agility Equipment

The purpose of this class is for you to have fun with your dog by introducing her to agility obstacles. All dogs must be people and dog friendly. No dogs the first class.
